Michelle Love - Certified ISR Instructor

Lesson Location, Lesson Fees,  Attendance Policy, Financial Assistance

Lesson Location - My lessons are taught in the heart of Rockwall, TX.  We are convenient to Rowlett, Mesquite, Royse City and all surrounding cities.  Lessons are outside in our heated (if necessary) salt water pool.  We offer plenty of shade for parents, caregivers and siblings who are watching poolside.

National Registration Fee - Before beginning lessons, every child must complete registration through the national ISR office.  Their staff of pediatric nurses and experts review all of the information in order to insure the safest possible lesson for your child.  Each child must complete this online registration before their first day in the water.  The fees for a brand new student is $105 and must be paid online through paypal or credit card.  Students who are in need of a refresher pay a once a year fee of $35 to update their information.

Once you complete the registration, I will receive a notice of this.  You will then receive a confirmation email from me that lets you know your lesson start date and time (that you and I had previously agreed upon).  After a few days you will also receive a packet from ISR that gives you many valuable resources.  Take your time and go through the Parent Resource Book and watch the DVD.  This will give you a clearer idea of the entire process.  You will also receive a coupon code to order a free swim diaper and t-shirt for your child!

Weekly Lesson Fees - Lessons are $100 per week.  Fees are payable by cash, check, credit card or PayPal. Payments are due before lessons begin each Monday.  A new student typically will train in 4-6 weeks, but all lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each child.  For this reason, lessons could possibly take slightly less or slightly more time to complete.

Attendance Policy - As with learning most new skills, consistency is the key to ISR lessons.  Your child will be learning new skills almost daily and practicing them as well. They will also be building their confidence in the art of swimming and self-rescue.  It is extremely important that they are brought to their lessons daily.  It is just as important that they are on time for lessons.  Lessons will begin at their appointed time.  As they are only for 10 minutes, it is crucial that you are there a few minutes early to prepare them for lessons.  As there are other children learning in the other time slots, if you do not arrive in time for your lesson, your child will not receive a lesson that day and there will not be make up days offered.  The only time that make up days will be offered or money will be returned is if I have to close the pool for some reason and I choose to cancel lessons.

Financial Help - ISR has set up a scholarship fund called the Community of Caring Scholarship.  If you can not afford lessons, you can always apply for a scholarship which could help to pay for a portion of your lesson fees.
